About Plastic Preacher
I like to think of Plastic Preacher as an entity, one that serves to showcase miniature art from around the world, with the world. I created this platform to act as a blog to allow that to goal to happen.
However, I am also a miniature artist and this platform allows me to showcase my own work, sell my painted miniatures and start a conversation with you for commissions. Since then, Plastic Preacher has gone beyond myself, and I hope that it continues to grow for many years to come.
The Story
I first picked up a miniature brush in early 2022. I was bought a D&D starter set as a somewhat novelty present and things started to kick off from there. I had spent almost all of my adult life as a musician, and after many years of relentless gigging, living it rough, and truly understanding that old cliche of rock and roll, my mental health and stamina was drained. Upon painting my first miniature, I felt a peace I hadn't felt for many years, and I knew this is what I had to do to protect my sanity, and to find that creative spark in life again. So I swallowed my ego, left my band and job, traded bass for brush, and embarked on my miniature painting journey.
I quickly realised that I wanted more out of what I was doing than just my own progress with painting, and after seeing so much wonderful talent on offer through the miniature painting community, I knew I had to create something to showcase it. In doing so, I feel I am able to return the favour for the limitless amount of inspiration I'm able to draw from. So whilst Plastic Preacher is my personal journey with miniature painting, it is also a thank you, a smile and a warm hug to every other miniature painter out there.

So if you're a miniature painter yourself, and would like to be featured in some way, Plastic Preacher is here for you.
And if you're a miniature player, and would like to have something commissioned, Plastic Preacher is also here for you.
Who is Plastic Preacher?

Jamie - @plasticpreacher
I created Plastic Preacher as my miniature painting alter-ego. It quickly became apparent that Plastic Preacher would transcend from just myself, and that couldn't make me happier. I'm still very early in my miniature painting journey, and learning how to adapt to a more artistic way of life, but I cannot wait to see how my painting improves with every single completed miniature. As I've said before, if you cannot afford therapy, stay off the hard stuff and buy some plastic crack.

Teri - @thegloomspitegirl
Teri has spent almost all of her life as an artist, specialised in fine art, but equally skilled at painting, drawing, sculpting and even stick and poke tattooing. She is now transferring those artistic skills to the micro level, just so she can work on "those cute little green goblins". With her lifetime of artistic knowledge, she is invaluable in creating and guiding designs, both on and off the plastic.
